Who We Are

We are a community interest group based between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales, focused on supporting people struggling with mental health through our Tracks&Dales programme. We take beneficiaries into rural environments to engage in activities that foster team building, confidence, self-esteem, and improved communication. Our goal is to build resilience and help individuals tackle the challenges they face.

Integrating good mental health practices into your everyday life is important and sadly people who struggle become disconnected and lost, they are in desperate need for good mental health support. We help people to understand, identify and talk freely about issues surrounding mental health by empowering them through physical exercise in nature. This project will improve mental health literacy and reduce stigma around mental health so people will have the knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues. We firmly believe early intervention enables a quicker recovery and prolonged feeling of positivity.

Through our activities, we provide a safe space for individuals to share, learn, and open up about their feelings. The pressure of dealing with mental health challenges can be overwhelming, but Tracks&Dales helps by offering structured support and engaging, therapeutic activities.

Our sessions are delivered by experts alongside individuals with lived experience, ensuring a people-led approach. Our commitment to co-designing our activities with beneficiaries at the heart of our decision helps build confidence and has lasting effects.
